Day 14 - Jour 14

J'ai du mal à croire que nous le fassions pour de vrai. Aujourd'hui, nous embarquons sur le Gateway catamaran. Vous savez, celui qui est en première page de la brochure qui brille, celle qui annonce le package le plus cher, et que vous gardez dans votre sac précieusement au cas où, sur un malentendu, on pourrait peut-être même y avoir droit. Celle que vous montrez timidement à la dame du centre d'information, en espérant à moitié que le bâteau soit plein, comme ça le problème est réglé, à moitié qu'ils fassent une méga-réduc - je vous dis, sur un malentendu, on ne sait jamais. Et bien je le répète assez souvent : il faut toujours espérer! : " que vous êtes chanceux!! Il reste une cabine pour un départ après-demain, le jour de la St Valentin (!), et comme c'est une réservation de dernière minute, je vous propose 40% de réduction." Bon, dit comme ça... Mais c'est vraiment pour remplir le bâteau!! ;-)))

Donc nous voilà vendredi 14 février, excités comme des gosses à l'idée d'aller nous perdre dans les 74 îles des Whitsundays pendant trois jours et deux nuits. La suite...demain!:)

I can't believe we are actually doing it. Today, we are boarding on the Gateway Catamaran. You know, the boat you can admire on the cover of the shiny brochure, which announces an outrageous price, but that you kept preciously in your purse just in case, if by any chance, over a misunderstanding, you could actually do it. The one you show, a bit shy, to the lady, at the information center, both hoping either for the boat to be fully booked - this way it is settled - or for that they offer you a mega discount - I am telling you, you never know what can happen over a misunderstanding. Well, I keep saying it : one can never hope for too much! : "How lucky you are! We have only a cabin left on the boat that departs the day after tomorrow, on Valentine's day (!), and because this is a last minute booking, I can offer you a 40% discount." Well, if you put it this way... But it is really to fill up the boat!!!:-)))

So here we are, on Friday February 14th, 2014, excited like kids with the idea we are going to get lost in the 74 islands of the Whitsundays for 2 days and 2 nights. To be continued... Tomorrow!
